Exactly 
If you use Skype root, connection type doesn't matter.
If you use latest root (even on early fw), TV HAS to boot on wifi, but you can use libNetSwitch to switch/unswitch LAN.

from my point of view, i know no skype method without samyGo-h..how should that work without any custom files?
but for me important:
but what if i used the latest root, switch to ethernet and don't have the library installed?
general what if i mess up the file system in any way, and tv doesn't boot anymore? whats the worst case recovery?

Root remains but will be lost on next boot if you don't re-switch to wifi before powering off, and will be back next time you will boot TV on wifi (actually that's what lib does AUTOMATICALLY: switch to LAN after boot and reswitch to wifi before shutdown).blendstylez wrote:but what if i used the latest root, switch to ethernet and don't have the library installed?

I do NOT support "latest fw" at ALL. If you have one you should block updates on router and wait for it to STOP being "latest":)
