You are my HERO for today!
It took a while to understand how simple usage is.
A new device in Mediaplayer...
It simply works. Very well done!
And thank you, for your patience
Best regards

Hello juuso,
Can you PM me as well the method to hack the firmware?
I am having a val6 card on a UE40V6000RW model.
I am interested in the virtual usb app from the sammygo suite.
Thanks

Specially prepared firmware enables you to execute ovn script at TV boot:

Just got here while looking for a way to enable the Internet@TV feature on a UExxC6000. I don't quite understand what executing a script allows me to do or what this patched firmware is used for.
I've noticed that the italian version of the C6000 comes with a larger flash chip and therefor uses a different firmware (T-VALDEUC). Wouldn't it be possible to use an external usb memory chip to execute those Internet@TV bits that currently don't fit into the memory of the TV itself?

You can change mainboard to one from c650 (oops, in your case you need mainboard from UE, LED model, e.g. c6800) and get PVR and I@TV, it costs ~100 euro. We don`t sell maiboards, you have to search it by self.
Perhaps it is possible to change rootfs to mount USB disk with I@TV content on it, but i definitelly know that it is needed to change rootfs and startup scripts behaviour. THis is not for everyone possible. But yes, generraly you are right, this could be the solution, but problem - none have been checked this nor we have plans to do such modifications. Maybe one skilled c630/6000 user can? He get all support he ever needs.

What patched firmware is, you can find on first post of this thread. What SamyGO Extensions are, you can read on the wiki. Briefly - Extensions allow you to mount your samba, nfs network shares to TV direcly to use all your network resources like local, usb attached drive. Other benefits depend from your needs...
p.s. your posts moved to
another topic about mainboard exchange...

Hi juuso,
I've tried recently to install the extensions through procedure described in the first post.
It doesn't work for me. I am not sure if I haven't read enough or is just something that slips me or I just did something wrong.
So my concerns are:
1) I have set up the DNS accordingly and then did online update. I see now I have installed version 2011/09/10_001116. Is this the right crafted version? or did something go wrong with my update and I did an official one (I couldn't find where is mentioned the istallled version in the 1st page of this thread)
2) if the update is right, after inserting the USB pen I don't see any samba shares - though I am sure I have them shared
Model UE40c6000RW
sorry for posting these basic questions
thanks

Insert usb and reboot tv. No hotplug. I think you have to learn how to enable disable samygo extensions scripts first, because 1116 is proper firmware you've got.

Thanks, I think i missed the step of renaming 04_04_samba.init.dis into 04_04_samba.init.
Another stupid question: reboot means turn off/on the tv, right?
