After trying (and failing) every written solution for C series i almost gave up with my T-VAL6DEUC firmware, but now the hope is back

i think i missed a spot there..

they say

4. install firmware if it detects one (firmware for d-series TV is not patched, it's original samsung firm with just changed versions number to xx90)

so after using modiefied dns to install "other firmware" i still wont have a patched T-VAL6DEUC firmware...?

btw. its a little bit bitter, i bought a C6500 to replace my C6000 (128M val model) which i thought is "not hackable" and then i find this thread....
i guess i'll unpack my C6000 again...
but until i can use pvr with it too i'll keep my refurbished C6500...

and the good news, as i now have "nothing to lose" with my C6000 i am willing to help with method re-linking rootfs..
and when i woke up this morning i remembered the gentoo installation guide... the magic word is >chroot<... would this be an option..?

yes, models C6000/630 are hackable. and yes, after you install other firmware using DNS, you get patched val6deuc.


But no PVR with original mainboard.
