then i enter the folder menu of my tv... there i can see the folders and contents of the stick. but no samygo message or something like that. do you get a visual confirmation, that samygo is successful installed or something?

Turn off the TV. Plug the usb stick, then enter in smarthub. There shoould be the widget you need.

Hey Guys,
today i tried to install the new samygo version again.
At first i started with a factory reset because i had some old datas from the old samygo version(skype version).
Than i started to follow the steps like written in the first post.
Now i finally could say it works! I have complete ftp and telnet access.

Firmeware : T-FXP9DEUC-2221.0
TV Modell : UE55F9090

finally, i managed to install samygo. after 5 or more attemps the app appeared under "more apps".
then i started samygo, every point while install is green (ok) except the point samygo2.txt. this one has a red no.
direct after installation i turn the tv off and on. when i enter the menu for autostart, i do not have the option samygo in there, only socialtv.

is this because of the missing file as described above? or is there another way to activate it?

Make a photo I assume you didn't extract samyext4 to SamyGO_data or you have something else wrong in this folder

I hope this root concept will work also on ES8000.
After a SmartHub update (SW is still 2009), root is lost viewtopic.php?f=49&t=7985.

Hi Guys,

Should this firmware work on 1116? My Tv is UA55F8000. I've tried it and it seems to work, however after installing the tv seems to reboot after about 30 seconds. However I do have ftp access for that time..

So a couple of quick questions

1) Is that normal for the tv to reboot the first time?
2) Do I need to have Skype installed for this to work? The instructions don't seem to indicate anything about Skype for this method.
