Just one really strange thing happened. I had the following conections.

HDMI1 - KODI
HDMI2 - XBOX ONE
HDMI3 - PS4

The PS4 on the HDMI3 couldnt send the dd/dts to the avr no matter the configs that i tryed. Tryed the following config;

HDMI1 - PS4
HDMI2 - XBOX ONE
HDMI3 - KODI

and everything worked fine, even the KODI on HDMI3 manages to send both DD5.1 and DTS :S Strange.

Well, I also noticed different behavior between HDMIs and had to find the "right setup" too for everything to pass through. Happy to know I'm not the only one, but no clue about what's going on though :)

Lol. Its really strange! Another thing that happened before i changed the conecctions, it that when i was in the PS4 (when at HDMI3), whenever i pressed the home button on the PS4, the TV changed to HDMI1 :S. Also when in HDMI3 the PS4 lost the Anynet+ connectivity.

But like i said, with PS4 in HDMI1 everything is working at 100%.

Like i said the only thing that lacks is for the TV to "tell" the AVR when the signal is DTS like it does when its DD5.1. When its DD5.1 the change its automatic. When its DTS i must go into the tv sound menu and manually choose it. But hey no problem.

I have the same problem actually! So audio passthrough works perfectly on my ES5500. I'm getting both 5.1 and DTS, which is great!

However, now the Anynet+ connectivity is acting strange. If I try to use it, it changes the source to HDMI 1 (which it didn't do before). If I change back to the correct source, the Anynet+ loses connection.

The obvious solution would be to just connect directly to HDMI 1 instead, but I can't in my case. My HDMI 1 input stopped working for some reason about 2 years ago and I've never been able to fix it.

Any thoughts?

Sorry but no, I gave up hope on Anynet crap a while ago due to similar issues (with or without patch btw). Best option is to disable it :)

Some progress! Turns out it was the FakeEDID that was causing the issue. By restoring the original EDID bins to a source, the Anynet works normally again. This isn't a problem for me - I'm using a Raspberry pi and I've told it to ignore the EDID data anyway. It still works fine with the passthrough patch. And Anynet is working with the Pi for me.

I know you think its crap - but handy for me to be able to pause a movie quickly rather than reaching for my phone...unlocking...opening the remote app... :D

Well, it's not excluded that cheating EDID could trouble that easily hurt Anynet... At least good you found the clue, and thanks for reporting it :)
