Hey all,

just rooted my 55HU6900 with NT14 Firmware...

As I can read here, it's still not supported really...

But now after rooting i have some info and just want to know if it's normal for rooted devices....

my connection to TV is working over netcat and port 3123

root access over Telnet is using port 33 ?

Code: Select all

$ ps ax | grep telnet
 1281 app 0:03 /dtv/bin/samygo_telnetd 3123
 1398 root 0:00 /dtv/samygo_telnetd 33
 2086 app 0:00 grep telnet
$
No SSH Daemon is running right now?

Wondering if root stays, when i reboot the TV...

Thank you very much..

First i accidentially used the MST Steps... TV crashed, but never managed to get stable...

So i used the non-MST way, which shurely is the right one for my non-MST model...

After setting scheduled power on / power off and waiting for power on, TV accepts netcat connection after showing picture again...

This is stable...

Firmware Version in service menu says:

T-NT14UDEUC-1003.0
T-NT14UDEUC-1005

netcat on 3123 is all what you should have after rooting. SamyGO for NT14 is not yet included. Check if the root is stable after you disconnect power cord from wall. Also what skype did you use for rooting. IIRC here was no skype by default or?

p.s. log is always welcome.

Root stays stable even after powercord disconnect...

Don't know what skype version... Where can I check version information of skype?

Due to the root, skype doesn't load anymore...

Don't know if skype was preinstalled or if I installed it long time ago...

Got the TV for 9 month now...

Stupid question: Where is skype on my UE32H6270

OK, call me stupid, but: I can't find the Skype APP on my UE32H6270.
I have enabled the SmartHUB (which I don't use otherwise) and I
see millions of games and APPs. I have looked into every category
of APPs but no avail.

On the other hand, the H6270 (T-MST14DEUC-2130.0) is said to be
rootable so I wonder how others did it without Skype...

All this is on a UE32H6270 T-MST14DEUC-2121.6. Should I upgrade
to 2130.0 first (since this is the version mentioned on the first page)?

Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks ;-)

I'll wait patiently and hope I can get NoDRM working on my tv so I can use the recordings on my PC and other hacks.
Yeah NoDRM will work with your TV :) Remember that with H many things changed for first hack some people waited on this forum even six months :) Anyway if you have OTN Support set to OFF ( you might also change OTA Support to OFF) you are safe :)
Yeah I disabled both, OTN and OTA in de service menu :) There has been like 5 updates since I bought the TV but i've never seen anything changing. They probably patched up some vulnerabilities, but I've never seen something change like better picture quality or speed improvements in the Guide menu or something.

They only "patch" rooting methods :)
