Just a space between them:

Code: Select all

SHARES="MOVIES MUSIC"

Thank you very much!!

So, I ill share my experience with rooting.
TV: UE48H6270

My FW version was 2113.4. Anyway, on the start of this topic is list of models and their FW version and I found exactly same model, but with higher FW (2130.0). So, I risked everything(!) and updated to this version. And yes, it can bee rooted without any problem! After update, I disabled OTN support (it was automatically enabled after update) and also I disabled auto update in Settings. Then, I adjusted settings again, because I entered Service menu before, which leads to reset of Settings.

Then, I ran scripts and followed guide - no problem. But then, I cannot telnet to TV. After some time, I check IP address to TV and found, that it is different from address, which I assigned manually in my router. If set Automatic DHCP in TV, it always take another address, but not that one manually entered (and yes, I also enter TV's MAC address). So, I entered all IP data in TV manually, and after that, I can telnet to TV.
After that, I only edited

Code: Select all

/mnt/etc/init.d/04_04_samba.init
(thanks to zoelechat) and voila - I have everything, I wanted!!

One more hint - I cannot have only one USB flash in port, because it was set for recording and it is formatted by another filesystem, than FAT or VFAT. So, finally, I have one USB only formatted for recording in USB1 (labelled as for Camera) and second one, with root data is in USB2. I only deleted folder "InstallSamyGO-H", because it in only widget for initial root. I leaved on this FAT32 USB flash only "SamyGO" folder. With this configuration, everything goes well and smooth. And I have 3rd USB free (labelled as for HDD with rating 1A), so I can also use external HDD without limitation.

Hope, that my experience will help to somebody.

For mods: if you want to store FW 2130.0, which was worked for me perfectly, just let me know, where to upload (filesize is 887MB).

You can just copy SamyGO_data directory to recording usb and it should load SamyGO from there :) FAT/VFAT is ONLY needed for rooting itself. After that you may experiment :)

Cannot do, because after format USB in TV for recording, it is not formatted to FAT/VFAT, so Windows not recognize it for copy. And I don't know exact Linux command to copy entire folder from USB2 to USB1... Also, in case I need to reformat or exchange recording USB, it should bring me some problems :)

Common advice is not to upgrade, even if you don't have "latest rootable" fw, but you can keep it somewhere just in case somebody asks. It's up to you to upload it where you want ;)

UE48H6400 - T-MST14DEUC-2122.0 - successful root

Succesfully rooted UE48H6400 - T-MST14DEUC-2122.0

TV rebooted about 5 times after the procedure, but now it is stable.
FTP, SSH, Telnet and http-proxy (8080) all enabled after a new reboot (after the automatic reboots, only FTP was enabled; another manual reboot, enabled the rest of the daemons).

Regarding this warning:
"WARNING!!!! DON'T EXPECT HACK TO BE WORKING CORRECTLY IF YOU EVER UNPLUG ROOTING USB :)!!!!!!"

Does te Rooting USB stick needs to stay always connected aven after succesfull rooting? Can it be changed with another one by copying files to the new one? (maybe a smaller one)

Thanks!

Hello,
I was not able to download attachment Samygo.zip.
First try, Avast detected link as unsafe.
Second try, Firefox issued message "connection to the server was reset ... site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy ..."
Has anyone experienced same notifications?
