Well it's useful ONLY if you run iptables commands BEFORE tv check for updates
Usually it's first thing tv does

If you save to some "rcS" script etc. Yeah iptables is executed first but we can't save it anywhere like that. All signed, hashed etc. and modifying causes brick
So (in most cases) we run commands after tv loads network stuff etc. Besides it's always best to block updates independently from TV
Also on J there is MUCH more to block. We are still confirming if we didn't find all the shit that needs blocking/disabling

No. Now we are at development stage. Nothing for regular users until we fix tons of stuff
P.S. Point of this thread is NOT to "report about progress". Point is to inform users about new root, new "no latest fw policy" and warn everybody to block updates on router ASAP
