In the f-series I also had problems. For me it has helped, proceed in the following order:
1. Television without stick turn on
2. Smart Hub start
3. Open More apps
4. Back to SmartHub (but not in the menu more apps)
5. Input Stick
6. Open More apps

4. Back to SmartHub (but not in the menu more apps)

Try to reset Smart Hub and Factory Reset (from service menu). No other thoughts.
