Which BD player model?
Still worth the try, a single fail cannot be a generality, especially because there are several possible fail causes

Started a test. FTP Connection is working, but i get an error while accessing telnet.
Connecting to 192.168.158.47:21 .. Success
Querying recordings on TV ...
Verifying telnet access to 192.168.158.47:5023 .. (4/50)
No Access to telnet.
Any idea?

Try other possible Telnet/netcat ports? 23, 1023, 2023, 4023

BD-E8900
everything works fine with the samygopvrdecoder, only decrypted file is not playable...
MI19: the test will not pass - otherwise telnet works on port 2023

So you didn't try on F series BD player
E and F result could be slightly different...

Obviously it doesn't work on any port, so I believe you can forget it

oh.. crap sorry - tired eyes or what - I saw E8500
I had also no luck with either NoDRM E/F nor PVRtoTS E/F
MI19: with my E series this test of telnet by samyGOPVRDecoder causes the root to disable itself so I have to restart BDplayer to have it working again
but you can download recorded files via ftp and try to decode it...
