Sorry dude really problem with USB... Nothing can be done... All commands fail always with same result...

Well for me these commands work on ANY usb that I have

Don't you have some USB disk for recordings ?

i don't use usb for recording.. but atm i have lots of usb:
1x 32 gb usb 2.0 kingston
2x 64 gb usb 3.0 sandisk
1x 8gb usb 3.0 TDK (the one used for the test)
and some usb 2.0 with no mark

all that usb worked for my f series samsung.
i used the crappedone to root my f8000 with the donator's method

Shut down TV. Unplug usb with rooting data. Plug one of your Free usb disk. Start TV and once it loads hit REC

It will ask if it can format the disk format and recording something than get back shutdown tv attach SECOND usb (the one with rooting data), start TV and get back here

Pardon to interfere in your troubleshooting conversation. But on H series you got 2 USB 2.0 ports and 1 USB 3.0 port, at least. Maybe you're plugging a usb 3.0 stick into usb 2.0 port. I would use usb 2.0 stick with usb 2.0 port for such case.
