The only way I can decrypt this is via FTP, how can I do it locally by plugging in HDD?
After the software downloads the .key files and I try to apply them It will output a black screen with no sound or video.
What have I done wrong?

Copy all file with same name to a folder, and decrypt it! Use MDB decryption method. This working, not enough .srf file!

based on my direct experience, I would suggest to copy on your PC also the following items:
1) File: PVRDBVersion.mgr (in the main root)
2) The folder named "Database". It includes the files "ace.log" and "ace.dat". It seems that these 2 files contain info related to the .SRT files (encryoted files) which are stored in the "Contents" folder.
3) The "Contents" folder with at least all the files (.srf, .mta, .mdb, .ckf, .enc) releated to the single PVR file which you want to decrypt. If you experience problem even by doing this, you should try to copy the WHOLE content of your USB drive to your Hard disk, so you are sure not to miss any important file.
4) The file ".PVRPfmChkLog" (inside the "Contents" folder).

Is there really use for those files in the PC world?pyt795 wrote:based on my direct experience, I would suggest to copy on your PC also the following items:

If yes, for which tools (windows and/or Linux?), and furthermore: what is exactly stored in those dat and log files?
I am just asking out of curiosity...

No use, ace.* are database of content on device. pvr*log file is kind of a flag what is supported on this device (pvr timeshift default device errorcheck) maybe some more existing. Mgr file i am not sure but think its for the recording (widget) feature seperate db

Hi,
is there a working procedure to decrypt recordings of a serie E (UE46ES6300) TV? I tried the following steps but failed:
1. Extract recordings (.srf, .mbd) by tool "Raise Data Recovery for XFS" from USB stick to HDD
2. Use DeSTRoi 1.3.1 with several settings (AF activated / deactivated, mdb / drmget method)
A .ts file is created but I can't play it with vlc.
Does serie E devices use a different encryption method?
Thanks and kind regards
Flo

Developer did a GREAT job: DeSTRoi tool worked for me straight away. My system is UA40D6600 with latest fw 1020.1 (T-GASDEUC). The settings in DeSTRoi 3.1.140 are MDB, Decrypt AF - Unchecked (!). Resulting *.ts file can be converted to MKV or mp4 using HandBrake. Cheers!

wo finde ich die Version DeSTRoi 1.3.1???? Not Foundmidland wrote:Dear all, I have been following this forum for quite some time already with a lot of fun - many thanks!!
But I have still the same problemes as medialwerk discribed above:
All files are copied on my win7 system but after using DeSTRoi 1.3.1 I can't play the "ts"- files. Error code with mplayer is something like this "no video and audio stream could found"![]()
I'm using the same new "ES" TV series as medialwerk - could this be the reason?? A new firmware? The most are using here "C" or "D" series.
Thanks in advance!
