Camera After Rooting

Hi.

I would like to know why the rooting process breaks the built-in camera's functionality? Is there anyway to fix it?
I found this viewtopic.php?f=52&t=6126 but there is nothing in the /mnt directory.

Thanks.

Then you rooted your tv incorrectly you should NOT have "nothing" in /mnt :) Good luck :)

I'm still waiting for the file that you said you would upload. I haven't fully rooted it. All I have is the netcat and telnet in ports 3023 and 3123 respectively.

Is /mnt a symbolic link of / ? If so, then still there is still no init.d in the /etc directory.

Okay now I understand. /mnt is the mount point of the samygo image.
Would there be any way to fix the camera from here? Upon checking /mnt/etc/init.d/01_01_catch_crap.init, the line is already commented out and it is only for E/F series. Would there be any fix for the H series?

After I got access to port 3123, I removed the root files done by the Skype method. Then I changed to Smart Hub region to redownload the widgets and replace the modified files. Then I proceed with the second rooting technique with the updated files from sectroyer. I now have full root with Skype and Camera.

Still testing if TV would still crash after several minutes. Previously it would crash after 10 mins or so. Now, it seems to be stable. Just receiving lots of these in the debug console:

Code: Select all

#########################################
[ERROR][CAP:NoSKIP][CAP(19)][TH(pidof:2244)PTH(sh)][U(1010)G(1010)]
###########################################
EDIT: It's been 30 mins and no crash yet.

@sectroyer, Thanks for the updated file!
