Hi everyone, just got a Samsung UE48JU6400 and want your opinions on the screen uniformity if that would be okay? Here is a Link to the photos:

Looks like normal clouding for an edge LED, even quite good. Anyway you never watch "all white" movies, do you?

Hi thanks for your reply. It's not an edge lit model but I take your point about the all white movies lol. The top corners appear quite dark - I think I might be a bit obsessed about screen uniformity...

Right, it's obviously a "direct LED" and not an edge LED, but it's "as if" as long as it's not a FULL LED (or OLED !). It remains "spreaded" backlight, and means clouding (at the middle instead of corners

)
See how thermal image (from UE55JU6410) looks similar to your "plain" white.

I get your point

, I know full array LED backlighting would be more expensive but surely not that much more - and this year Samsung/Panasonic seem to be going ever more away from it. I just don't get it, time to start saving for an OLED!
