HDMI Passtrhough on ARM D?

Hey folks,
So I am new to TV rooting (for some reason in my mind there would be no reason for it --- mind blown!).
I have UN40D6420UF and I was wondering if it is possible to do HDMI audio passthrough to optical.
I've seen libfakeedid for E/F/H series and even libHDMIpassthrough for the MIPS based D series. Anything on the ARM based D series? I mean is it worth it or should I "let the cat drop the tv on the floor"?
