LT27A300 hdmi-cec (anynet+) activation, again

hello,
I already asked for help on this late last year, here: https://forum.samygo.tv/viewtopic.php?t=9970
As nobody showed up to help, probably because most people don't read the monitors forum, here I am asking for the same thing again.
In fact, I wonder why Samsung calls this a monitor; after all, it does everything a TV is supposed to do and so I decided to post again here, on the 'A' series which I think is the most appropriate. If not, please mod, move it.
I've made some progress: I have a working Ex-Link cable, 3.3V levels as I found it requires, enter the debug menu by typing 1198282 [enter] and 20089999. Then I choose option 0x20 - System Shell, and I get a console prompt: VDLinux#>
But I'm only able to type hex characters as someone already posted. I don't want to go any further fearing to brick it.
On the service menu / option, I see:
T-MSUMDEUC-1007.0
T-MSUMDEUS-1001
EDID SUCCESS
HDCP SUCCESS
CALIB: AV/COMP/PC/HDMI
Option: 9072100
T-MSXDEUCIP-1000
SDAL-8.11.0.0
RFS: *Mstar-X5 2002
2012-03-28
F-ET-0x48-0023
Type: 27A6TF0E
Model: LT27A300
CIP SUCESS LOCK 0
Factory Data Ver: 159
EERC Version: 571
DTP-AP-COMP-738-X5-MFM-VE-DEU-03
DTP-BP-HAL-0211-X5MFMVE_DEU-003
DTP-BP-0704-07
I'm not asking for fancy firmware mods, just some help to enable the remote CEC (anynet+) function. It will be much appreciated.
Rgds,
jss
