diseqc 1.2 ?

my new tv only supports mini-diseqc amd diseqc 1.0 switches that have a maximum of 4 lnb's.
problem I have is I have 8 lnb's on my satellite dish.
I see that some Europe TV's have support for 8x1 diseqc switches with diseqc 1.2 would I be able to install overseas firmware to accomplish this ?
