After trying a lot of things I've come to the conclusion that the problem with my TV and 4K is due to the slow network spped of the TV.

The TV is connected through ethernet cable to my router, nad testing Internet speed gives about 8-10Mbps (DL), when any compuetr connected to the same router gets the full 300Mbps. Even my PC with wifi gets over 200 Mbps.

Does anyboyd know if there is any way to get a better speed? Any configuration to do, any special HW needed?

Not being able to stream 4k to the TV is driving me nuts...

Try some other cable?

J has only 10BASE-T ethernet maybe?

@Borygo77. I've tried with three cables that work fine with other devices. I'll try some others, but it doesn't seem that's the reason. Could you please tell me what are you connecting the TV to? I mean, which brand and model is your router/switch. I'm using a LinkSys WRT1900AC which is great for any other thing, but it could be the problem...

Was fortunately a joke, of course.
That said, I'm not sure any Samsung TV has gigabit ethernet, only 100mbps afaik, maybe worth to investigate that obviously wrong link speed report (force 100mbps, if possible, maybe?)

I got tp-link 1043v2 with openwrt on board... Constantly seeding around 200 torrents that's why speed is only 80mbps on Tv I think

In practice, 80mbps is more or less what you can expect from a 100mbps ethernet link
