Is it possible to mount a samba Share with the j series?
Is there a Mediaplayer which is able to play avi and mkv formats.

Yes, but I found that the usb key / hdd connected to the recording TV must have NTFS format and this is not accessible via samba, via ftp yes.
Does anyone have any other experience?

Tv accepts ntfs but first uses ext4 natively, so it's much better to use ext4 for recordings, and that's how TV will format if USB is not already ntfs/ext4.
Indeed ntfs looks not accessible through Samba server, I'm surprised I didn't notice it already, gotta investigate...

Anyway, we're now talking about Samba client, not server. Nothing related to USB format there :)

hm, formatted automatically into ntfs, now i have tried ext4 and it also Works
But I swear I was ext4 tried, or was it just ext3? my fault
I just needed it, now I'm playing decrypted videos in PC right out of the net ;)
