Hi, unfortunately my smart tv was upgraded with latest samsung firmware 1021 and I lost skype app. I wanted to install old skype package manualy so I followed instructions to root te tv with samygo app. The app does not seem to work and I could not ftp the tv. I checked it is not a local nw problem as I can ping the tv from my pc. I realised then that probably my firmware is to high and I should downgrade to 1018 unless there is a trick to go on with 1021. I tried to check firmare downgrade with the samygo server set but did not find any firmware to install. Someone can help ?

You do not need any downgrade if you think it will get your skype back. Skype isn`t working on D series anymore, no matter which firmware it runs - old or fresh. No skype.

According to posts on "Re-install Skype for D-series?" it seemed to be possibile to re-install a 2011 version of Skype using ftp. Am I wrong ?

You can reinstall skype but it wont work as its support had been discontinued on server side.

Ok, I I suppose no may to make beleive the server the skype client on TV is on a PC or android ?
Anyway, is there a way I can gain root access having firmware 1021 installed on my D7000 ?
