QLED TV being blocked by BBC

Hi guys, I’m not very technical, but I thought I would try here to see if anyone has a solution.
I recently moved to the Philippines from the UK, and I purchased a QLED TV locally. I set myself up with a VPN so that I could carry on watching UK tv, but have just discovered that the BBC are blocking certain models of Samsung TVs from viewing iPlayer.
I presume they are using the tv MAC address to find the model numbers. If this is so, is there any way that details of my model number can be hidden.
