Save to restart exeDSP without rebooting TV ?

Hey Guys,
long time no see...
Maybe its a bit of of dumb question but I wanna be save.
Sometime it happens that exeDSP chrashes and TV is not responding anymore on RC input.
TV is still reachable via FTP/SSH. With command "top" its easy to fine out that exeDSP chrashes and is not running anymore...
Question is if its save to resart exeDSP at this point with (without rebooting the TV completely):
sh /mtd_exe/rc.local
or even only with
./mtd_exe/exeDSP
I guess that then all the pached exeDSP stuff is away and many needed to start-over the samygo start process?!
sh /mnt/rcSGO or sh /mtd_rwcommon/widgets/user/SamyGO/data/run.sh ?
up to now I did not try anything of that... Still a bit afraid to freeze or brick my TV... Even if its kind of unlogical...
