Hi,

i rooted my F Series Samsung Smart TV on Firmware 2105. Its a long time ago, I had to copy some files onto a usb drive and I think there was a samy go app in the smarthub then, which I had to launch. I think I didnt use the skype app, but I dont know exactly anymore, sorry .

I then followed this thread to install the pvr decoder tool to transfer and decrypt my tv recordings: viewtopic.php?t=6511
This worked very well, but sometimes my tv crashed, when I changed the channels on tv while I was transfering my recordings to pc.

Since the last time my tv crashed while transfering recordings, it will restart every time in a few minutes continuesly, when the samygo usb drive is attached. I didnt changed something in the system files, I first thought the tv is crashing because I also cant access my recordings on the hdd drive anymore, before the recordings are loaded the tv crashed already, so I thought the hdd drive is corrupted, but it also happens when the hdd drive is not attached.

I also reset my smart hub because my apps only show blackscreens and did a hard reset (?) (pressing power button on remote for 10 seconds while the tv has no power).

how I can disable it?

Enter in Service menu it should be under Options ... pay attention on what you do and do not touch anything else.
In service menu any change is seved automatically as soon as you see it on the TV.

when I disable the watchdog timer, what’s the next step then, how Do I know then the cause of the crash?

I had such a problem before!
This was the only way I could solve the restart problem.
1. I turned off the watchdog.
2. I turned off the television and removed the root flash drive.
3. I downloaded a newer version than the firmware on my television. (The last version for my F5500 television is 2127)
4. I formatted the flash drive and then copied the firmware installation file to it.
5. I connected the flash drive, turned on the television, and then updated the firmware. After installing the new firmware, my television did not restart anymore.
6. I removed the flash drive and then turned the watchdog back on.
7. I made the root flash drive and re-rooted my television.
