Hy! I have more and more problems with watching video files. The problem is shown as "unsupported video data". Does this mean the files have codec that my TV doesn't support it?

Both video files are from the same group that released them. Does anyone know what's the difference?
My TV is LE40B650!

In short, second movie uses High@L5.0 profile while first one using High@L3.1...
So their codecs are different and this tv does not support some high end profiles. It's not problem for PC but TV has DSP to extract those movies.
I guess It's not compatible with that high L5 profile..

There is always a way if you accept to re-encode that file to L3 profile. It's also a solution

You're right, but that would probably take ages for my PC to re-encode, or do you know any good software for this?

Instead of encoding that video to AVC L3, you can encode with MPEG2 with very high bitrate.
Resulting file needed to be huge (if original is 1GB, than MPEG2 might be 3-4 GB for low image loss).
But you can delete that file after watching. Also this encoding will not require much time. I guess you can encode it in some minutes.

You can use AviDemux for the job. It's my favorite.

Just want to say something. I downloaded a MKV file, size is around 350MB. Now the file has two audio channels. First one is English, and the second one Japanese. Interesting thing, if I play it on my TV it chooses first audio since I can't switch it, the video file plays completely normal. But if I use software MKVToolnix (mkvmerge) and switch the primary audio (english) to secondary, so then the first audio is Japanese, and if I play it I get that error "No video data supported". I find this very strange!
