Hi,

bad news...
Tell please, did you set the rs232 jack to debug before to start playing with your TV? If yes, then check your cable or connection settings etc.
If debug was not set, open back cover and search for "magic button" or for the place for such button (it is offen not soldered in).

You could make hi-res photos and give us for inspection if you do not find it by yourself.

Connect pins 1+2 of stereo jack side of cable together and try open connection. If you get response (you will see what you type on terminal screen), cable is ok. If not - check it (and every what is related to it).

What does it mean - are you connecting it to audio socket???
You should connect to Service port, not Audio...

Here is it (SW4001) in the center.

Open putty window and make connection to TV.
Power on TV and make short circuit of those 4 pins of SW4001 for few secs.
TV should drop to debug mode and you get log.

But it could be it resets TV and it reboots and the trick does not help.

Then when you see the bootlog paste it and shortly after that press crtl+c on your keyboard (not type, it`s a key combination). You`ll see the

touch /mtd_rwarea/PartitionSwitch_0_0
rm -f /mtd_rwarea/PartitionSwitch_1_0

And reboot your TV

If TV boots - ok. If not, then wrog partition switch i gave you.
Repeat again, but:

rm -f /mtd_rwarea/PartitionSwitch_0_0

And reboot your TV
