I don't make any experiment on external sound of my TV... Might something help about it. Just wait :)

Should be two of them on the mainboard, in case there is a woofer/woofers in given TV model.
AFAIRC, none of speaker outputs are grounded, I guess it will not work very well as audio out.

I'm nearly sure it will NOT work as intended. Please take a look at the datasheet:

If I knew where exactly is signal driven to TV AMP, then I could take that signal, but unfortunately, I do not know.
Unfortunately those inputs are digital (I2S), so you are out of luck, I'm afraid.

But there are two wolfston audio codec chips on the motherboard (or maybe just one chip in some models), perhaps that will be a good place to tap into.
