I have succesfully ported EncFS for our tv. For those that do not know, EncFS provides an encrypted file-system in user-space. It runs without any special permissions and uses the FUSE library and Linux kernel module to provide the file-system interface.

Thus, you can now play your encrypted files directly from the TV! So far it is not a game, but an standalone application, so you have to execute it from the command line. It would be easy to convert it into a Game though, following the same rationale as in the thumbnail extension.

It is compiled for a LE40B650 CIP model.

Hi everyone,

for those that are not interested on performing an SSH to mount the encrypted partition, I have done a Game that mounts the partition from the Content Library list. Note that before you can mount partition, you have to edit the telnet.sh file (following the comments). It also includes now an Icon.

just for those of you that are interesting on this extension, one tip.

I found out that using the default encryption values of EncFS is a little hard for the TV, specially when higher bitrates are required (i.e. HD movies/series). If you have the chance to create a new EncFS partition, try with AES, 128 keysize, 4096 bytes of block. This should give around +25% performance, that should be enough for most movies.
