Hello Guys,

I am pretty new to this forum and these products so please bear with me for my incompenten questions

I just brought a UE46D8005 with Smarthub and the possability to rent films like VOD.

This is how it works :

1. I log into my Samsung account witch is merged with an account to a video operator.
2. I choses a film
3. The film starts and is available for 24 hours.

My question is now :

The TV communicate with the server and gets an go or nogo to stream the chosen video.
Would it be a little interresting to sniff the data from / to the TV and filter out how a GO looks like ? This would give nice possabilites A little currious to hear what you thing about this

When I rent a film it is impossible due to some kind of software regulations in the TV to record the film - is there a trick/hack to do that ?

Last only to say this is the BEST TV ever that I had - damn I am happy with it and it makes so much joy every time i power it up )))

Since Samsung leaves hundreds of hole at their firmwares, this is possible with some work. But I don't know how to do now. And also not so interested. But if you find a way, just inform us.

Hi Erdem_ua - I will sniff a little around and see what I can come up with Will let you all know if I stumble over something nice
