NVRAM Erase from ExLink. Bricked TV.

Hi there,
My TV became semi-bricked.
On bootloop due mis setting at setting.
Code: Select all
Factory Data [2], Set Func Sensitivity [0x2]
Factory Data [0], Set Func Proximity [0x0]
I believe resetting factory/nvram required for revival.
If some one show me correct key combination to NVRAM reset, I could revive Tv.
Thanks
on GAS6DAAC (GASD5EUC compatible...)
Okey Factory reset is :
But I needed to reset NVRAM instead of Factory Reset. So it doesn't work. Also this disable the rs232 debug!!!
Now needed to reset nvram by hand..
Edit: Enabled rs232 debug!
Edit2: Unbricked TV, at least stopped the boot loop.
Edit3:

Totally bricked after unbrick. After replacing values to their old settings, TV enters bootloop again without rs232 debug... Magic button doesn't seem working. Just shuts TV of. Last hope is clearing eeprom by shorting. But don't know if it's helps...

Oh...
I can open my device only on Thursday i think mine should be similar to yours, despite the T-GAS6DEUC firmware on board

.
Also i will ask for help on other forums. Bad thing is that the guy who explained this unbricking procedure is not active for a long time and this was never made on D series.
But i think it should be similar to c series, we just need to identify eeprom. Take look on other mainboard side for 8 pin chip...
p.s. if you really going to change mainboard, think about the m/b from higher series. If it is possible to connect the internal elements and it are crosscompatible... Remember: B550->B650, C550->C650 with some cable modding. Think about.

I realized that main Samsung TV Service Center in Istanbul just a 1.2 km far yo my house

At least I can ask for their prices. But we needed to try unbrick it. You said other side? So I needed to remove the board from TV.
Where is the my screwdrivers? I will take a shoots at sunlight tomorrow. Will put here.. So every components clearly seen...
Thanks.

You can take pictures also from T-con chips and Lvds connector area to see chips specification in 3D "FullHd" case...

I had brick of my TV too. All what i made, is
from console. I just wanted to switch to previous alternative firmware.
This worked well on C series, but please,
don`t try this command on D series!
Code: Select all
[CIP_KERNEL] authentication fail!!
[CIP_KERNEL] timeout
[CIP_KERNEL] [init/main.c::Exception_from_authuld::864]auth failed in kernel. System Down.
[CIP_KERNEL] [init/main.c::Exception_from_authuld::864]auth failed in kernel. System Down.
[CIP_KERNEL] [init/main.c::Exception_from_authuld::864]auth failed in kernel. System Down.
70 seconds from TV start until it goes to shutdown. Time was enough to execute the "toggle" again and TV revived after reboot:
Code: Select all
[CIP_KERNEL] Success!! Authuld is successfully completed.
Some important conclusions: somehow toggling on D series does not switch the cmac partitions. Might the hash partitions is only one and hashes are being rewritten every time by switching firmware over menu?
Hope someone learns from this lesion and saves some nerves.

Probably this couln`t be hapend if alternative firmware = active firmware.
In my case there were different firmwares (from different regions

)
p.s. The topic should be "what i have to do if i need to brick TV"

I am able to recover my TV at last.
Trick is as same as C series. Resetting the eeprom.
Just hold SDA to VCC then GND. Than TV unbricks itself.
Location of eeprom changes modals to modals but I create wiki page with shots.
Thanks.

Back to my toggle report.
Today i upgraded the EU firmware again, so my both firmwares on TV are EU. (compared to previous test).
Switched my 2nd firmware.
Switched to 1st firmware back.
No Authuld problems anymore.

This let me think on it...
If problem solved via same region FW at both fw bank?
Or it solved due they are SAME FW on those banks.
Does your FW's are different version or they sharing same version, means same binary?
If they are same, I expect such a result since hashes not changed.

I confused a bit. Need to flash latest firmware and then make toggle
Updated info:
Yes, on both partitions i had the T-GAS6DEUC-1008.
Installed T-GAS6DEUC-1010. TV booted normally (alternative fw: 1008).
Switched to alternative fw from shell:
Code: Select all
/sbin/toggle 0
Toggle 1st PARTITION
write cnt = 9
read cnt = 5
Ack not match (write cmd :0x35, reveice ack:0x0 != ack:0x35)
Toggle 1st PARTITION
write cnt = 9
read Error!!
read cnt = 0
Ack not match (write cmd :0x35, reveice ack:0x0 != ack:0x35)
Toggle 1st PARTITION
write cnt = 9
read Error!!
read cnt = 0
Ack not match (write cmd :0x35, reveice ack:0x0 != ack:0x35)
Toggle 1st PARTITION
write cnt = 9
read Error!!
read cnt = 0
Ack not match (write cmd :0x35, reveice ack:0x0 != ack:0x35)
Toggle 1st PARTITION
write cnt = 9
read cnt = 9
Receive ack(write cmd :0x35, reveice ack:0x35 == ack:0x35)
After reboot:
Code: Select all
[CIP_AUTHULD] Errnum 1007
[CIP_AUTHULD] error part. number = 2
[CIP_AUTHULD] System will be down.(0x2)
[CIP_KERNEL] authentication fail!!
[CIP_KERNEL] timeout
[CIP_KERNEL] [init/main.c::Exception_from_authuld::864]auth failed in kernel. System Down.
[CIP_KERNEL] [init/main.c::Exception_from_authuld::864]auth failed in kernel. System Down.
[CIP_KERNEL] [init/main.c::Exception_from_authuld::864]auth failed in kernel. System Down.
The question is closed. We definitely
can`t switch between firmwares by toggle command as we could on C series.

Does TV has any script to do that? Please inspect your dumps.
