Change C6300 to C6500?

Hi,
Asking this for a friend - has anyone been able to change the model of their LED Samsung from C6300 series to C6500? My friend has a north american model (UN55C6300) which has the internet widgets disabled so we're wondering if just a simple model # change might accomplish it - anybody know if this is possible to do and how?
