It's bad. Why do you needed to change tuner type?
You needed to disable watchdog before doing such a thing.
Could you enter bootloader? If you can enter, you might run special kernel image placed at USB Flash and you can recover your TV from linux shell.

No I don't mean that but I know that is possible to boot from FW image that on the USB stick... I saw some people doing it here.
