i have an LE40B579 (CI+)

i also have an working ExLink-Cable and successfully enabled WisoLink Movie on this TV with a serial connection.

Now my Question(s)

1. is it possible to flash alternative Firmware and use SamyGo Software on it? or roll back to another Firmware?

2. is it generally possible to use wifi adapter and dlna on this tv?

because it is an CI+ i can't change to an B650-Model and don't have an "Game Menu" for using Trojan-Horse or FFB

Hi, i don`t think we have something for you. This model doesn`t have contents library (right?), means no games, except those from commandline and without sdl graphic. But first you need to have patched firmware. I don`t know if SamyGO patcher supports your firmware at all...

Anyway, you can get shell over exlink and enable full character input there. After you get root you can try to execute some "games". What is your goal?

right, there is no Content-Library...so these hacks will not work for me.

as i said i could activate Wise Link Movie through serial connection.
I also could activated DLNA in Sytem-Menu, but this makes no sense without a network connection.

So if there could be more Options with SamyGo-Software on it it would be great.
But at first i would be happy if i could play Media from my Network-Storage - and maybe it is possible to activate WIFI with an USB-WIFI-STICK...

As your tv Is CI+, the risk of brick Is too high compared to benefits you get.

this was also my decission after reading forum & wiki...
it's the old one from my parents an i had to pay 0?
i think i schould be happy with playing movie from usb ...

before i buy my next tv in a few years...i first will read samygo forum...and then i'll order!
