There is to be an iPlayer "app" in the new C-series (for UK, anyway), announced for April. I think that "app" is a new marketing term for widget, but few details are available before launch (expected this month). So far, Samsung says the new "apps" will not be made available to B-series - that could be a marketing ploy at least until new sets are in the shops. B-series users will put pressure on BBC to make it available if at all compatible. There could be a country-specific setting on the widget.

If anyone has a SDK for the widgets, they might be able to say what's different - if anything - for C-series. It might just be the method of delivery - Appstore instead of Widget Gallery.
