samygo for HT-D5100K (BD-HP5800 D series)

Post by Cpaez »

Hi!, it is possible change the original firmware and install samygo on a HT-D5100K ( BD-HP5800 D Series)??

If there is possible, what apps or improvements has the samygo firmware?

Hi Cpaez,

I am assuming that you are running a B-FIRHTBEUC firmware? Is that right?
In that case you can install a samygo patched firmware, and then install samyGO as said in the wiki.
I have a HT-D5500 and I did this, but it seems some parts of samygo are incompatible and hence I sadly did not get any improvements.
However if it does work for you, you get a virtual usb drive with nfs/samba access and you could get improvements that will be created down the line.

Hope this helps

thanks Chaos, yesterday was seeing a movie in avi, in a pen drive and the cinavia message appear every 30 seconds, i downgrade the frimware with Samygo, via DNS, works fine, but doesnt have any improvements, i think it is just patched, and it doesnt have cinavia restriction , because the message didnt appear again
Thanks to samygo go for that.

How can i get a virtual usb with nfs/samba? is a software in a pen drive?

I apreciate your answer, Chaos.
Best regards!

Hi Cpaez,

Once you downgrade, you then have to install the samygo patch follow the D series wiki for that. You should be able to then load up a virtual USB drive and link samba shares or NFS shares to that. (Basically you can get around DLNA which is great). There may also be other improvements in the future.
