Recording VHS with USB HDD

hey fellas
i have the LE40c650 (i m not sure if i m in the right forum) and i just connected my vhs player with the tv and now i tried to record to my usb hdd. tv says "not available"
is there a way to record it to my usb hdd anyway? if yes please let me know

What is vhs?
How did you connect it to tv?

hey fella dont know how its spelled in english but this is a VHS tape
i have connected the played via scart cable with my samsung tv.

Are you kidding?
Scart is not digital source and you can't use pvr to record your analog VCR recordings ...

Yes, but not for integrated pvr.

i m not kidding. i still do have many old tapes which i wanna digitally record with the recording option on my samsung tv

This is not possible with built in samsung`s recording option.
