I have a PS51E530 Samsung that acts like a strobelight when watching bright images. Net info suggests its an overly aggressive Automatic Brightness Limiter (ABL). Is there anyway this can be adjusted or is it part of the mainboard?

From my experience with d-series the ABL is implemented on the logic board where the timing patterns are generated and not adjustable. In any case the ABL is needed to prevent overheating (only on plasmas), it's too bad the e-series is too aggressive in this regard.

Thanks for the reply. I thought as much. Its wayyyyy too aggressive on the lower end E series plasmas. Had hoped there would have been a way to adjust it or disable it but it doesnt look likely.
