How is firmware name and version decided?

Hi,
I've just bought a UA32ES4500 in the UAE and I'm trying to get BBC iPlayer up and running, unfortunately iPlayer is asking for newer firmware, yet there is none available for this model (current is 1014).
The UAE Samsung site lists T-MST10PDAAC and the firmware name, yet newer versions are available for the UE models using T-MST10PDEUC.
So two questions...
1. Is there a way I can get the TV to load a T-MST10PDEUC firmware?
2. If not, then can I hack the version number in the other firmware? Is it as simple as just changing the various version files?
Many thanks,
Lee.
