UE46ES8090 too many files on harddisk

Hello,
i have a Samsung UE46ES8090 witch works fine, attaching a 1 TB USB-3-USB Harddisk with nearly 400 GB AVI-Videos, each 1.5 GB, worked very fine too - until I backed up my notebook - nearly 100.000 files, 300 GB - because there was still enough space on the disk. Now the TV stops reading the disk - too many files - and it is not possible to play the videos. I tried to rename the "BACKUP" folder to ".BACKUP" and i placed a ".nomedia" file in the "BACKUP" folder linke in Android but with no success - the TV tries to read the folder; only moving the folder to another harddisk solves this... Is there a way to hide a folder on a harddisk in order to prevent the Samsung TV from reading it?

Regards Thor

No, samsung tries to index EVERY file on the disk. If you have a lot of files, then no way.
