I've decrypt gasdeuc fw from d series tv and i'm thinking to mount it (the image of rootfs appext exe.img) to my c series tv but i don't know exact type of single images are
rootfs is squashfs but what about exe.img and appext.img?
after mounting these image is possible to start it maybe from telnet or ssh command?
I look into these img but it seems that part of firmware are missing...or maybe i made some mistakes
could someone provide a full dump of a gasdeuc tvs?
The structure of rootfs is different on c series there is mtd-appdata on d series not but i think that mtd_appdata on cseries is the mtd_appext of dseries.
If i decrypt all the fw and mount it maybe i can find a way to start it on c series and try if it work on old hardware.
Both tvs has arm cpu and there aren't problem of space for firmware, then i read on forum that are flash tools and that is possible to flash patched firmware (why you don't call it custom firmware isn't it?) on c series so i'm thinking to try to flash original d series fw susch as users on the forum flash patched fw on c series.
Is that possible or not?i think that there isn't risk of brick because i mount it on tv manually from usb disk.
the problem is start it on tv becuase there is no access to boot parameter.

I have tried to boot C series firmware on D series using specially modified rootfs, TV crashed. SO no hope you can run it vice versa. Specific libraries, memory mappinds and so on and so on.

ok so you have tried C series on D Hardware but maybe the viceversa solution D series fw on C series hardware may work... two hardware are not so much different maybe the problem is the front panel that on d series is different...
the change of mainbaord is possible so the hardware like panel, power module, t-con are the same.
The c series tv valdeuc family has an arm cortex processors the d series too, the nand chips are bigger enough to flash the d series on c series so where is the problem? maybe we need to find a bootrom exploit or modify the flash parameters or remapping the nand.
How i can build modified rootfs to try on my c series? please reply here or in pm i really interested.
we have to do a porting of the fw such as they are done for the nokia phone or for iphone.
I know is difficult but why not try?
if we flash the entire fw the libraries are included.
the hard part i think is "partitionating" the nand...
how to get access to bootloader?if we find a way to get accesss to uboot maybe when can boot fw from usb disk and we can try to boot android or linux or samsung selp fw.
