Hi guys,

although you'd be used to this, I'm desperate and need some help. I somehow managed to brick my UE40C6700 on New Years eve!! After having successfully enabled pvr (after upgrading to t-valdeuc-3009.2) I was surfing through the submenus. After switching off and on my display is all scrambled. II suspect I changed something in the "config" submenu but I don't know what. Is there any place where I can find the default settings? I did a further upgrade to t-valdeuc-3015.0 but it didn't help (I can still somehow read through the menus on the screen).

please, any help is appreciated! my 3-years-old sweetheart won't forgive me for bricking her beloved tv!

I checked, LVDS Format is already set to VESA, and also PDP doesn't work.

emm, what about factory reset?

sorry, forget to say, already did it after using ruSamsungTVCommunicator (Factory, 3Speed than factory reset). Nothing more to do?
can't it be any setting in the "config" submenu? that was the last menu I visited and I suspect in one of the settings I used "left arrow" instead of "return" before switching off!

problem solved! the setting I had inadvertently changed was the panel type. Although with the "scrambled" image I couldn't read the value I had selected, after some attempts I did select the correct one. I even tried the EEPROM reset before that but fortunately it didn't work . The photo of my board is identical to that of the UAxxC6200 model in the wikis (identical!, even the numbers and letters printed in the area), but interrupting the two indicated pins for some reason didn't work.

However, the TV is working again and the family is all happy. It now has the T-VALDEUC-3015 firmware and I'll have to surf the forum to learn if and how I can hack it again.

And what panel type is proper for your TV?
