Non Smart TV

Is there any point waiting for a Samygo patched firmware for a UA40EH5006 (T-MST9DEUC) TV? Or is it only suitable for Smart TV's?

i own a different tv from yours (plasma 3d ps51e490) but the firmware is the same ( T-MST9DEUC_1015.1 )
also mine is not a smart tv, but it has 3d features.
i was looking for the same answer, but afaik the only wip for es series is rooting on smart tv, that doesn't work on ours
