hi, i own a plasma 3d ps51e490
the firmware installed is : T-MST9DEUC_1015.1

afaik all the es series tv have smarthub installed, but my plasma hasn't.
it can barely use usb to play media (and not all kind), and the lan port can be used only to stream files from dnla servers (with lot of server problems).

questions:
is my plasma a REAL e serie, or maybe a "masked" d serie?
is it possible to install smarthub on it?
can be rooted just to enable telnet, samba share, etc (i don't have smarthub so the root wip procedure doesn't work )?

Duno. It is Mstar based like other D series mstars... Can be it is masked D series. But this info won`t help you add features to it, because none is reported about success.
