Hello,
I've got a Samsung UE40C6000 TV, which works fine. Last weeks, i bought (after reading here and there that it should work), a motherboard from a UE40C6700 (which was brand new).
I replaced my original motherboard with the new one (and cut a bit of metal on the cover in order to let the F plug come through), but the tv doesn't work. when i plug the power back on it, the red led lights on, when i power it on i have the sound, and i also think the backlight starts too, but the tv stays black. What should i do?
For the moment i replaced the orginal board in, and i works fine.
Thanks

I am just wondering....because there is such a number on board, that says type of board...and if you change in the service menu as wrong type, TV do not work.
Maybe smb with more experince can share...

Yeah i hadn't thought of that. I've read on the wiki that you can change the boards to upgrade your tv, and i had the new motherboard for 50? bnib, so i thought it was worth it. I will try by changing the type, yeah.
As far i know, the differences are :
- 6000/6005 : "only" tv
- 6200 : tv + sat
- 6500/6510/6530/6540 : tv + internet@tv
- 6600/6620 : tv + internet tv + recording on usb
- 6700/6710/6730/6740 : tv + sat + internet@tv
- 6820/6820 : tv + sat + internet@tv + recording

I recently bought a C6700 MB to be built in a C6000 for a friend but he hasn't built it in yet...

but as the flash resides on the mb anything that you change in service menu should stay on mb, so if you build in another MB and it doesn't work because of changes in SM the changes must have been made before you built it in / before you bought it...

anyone knows if the panel-type setting you can find in SM appears in bootlog? if so you could hope that debug is activated in new MB and grab a bootlog via ex-link and check if the paneltype is set right...

if you could manage to make a blind channel-search (i think dvb-t is default reciever) you could check if you get audio output from tv channels, then you'd know that your only problrm is a wrong display setting in software...

as the motherboard is a brand new one, i don't think it has been modded or something like that.
I tried with an external BR player on hdmi and switching with the source button, nothing happend. The red led blinks everytime i push a button on the remote, but i had really nothing on the display.

If it may help, on the new motherboard there's a sticker saying T. VAL DEUC (B) 18.6.10 1013.2 F984 [01] and another with UE40C6700USXZG 913A on it. I will check asap what's on my original board.

sadly not.
With the original board the tv works perfectly, with the c6700 board, it seems to come on (i have the tudummm sound at start), the backlight seems to work too, but nothing on screen.
