No Exlink? Have you set rs232 to debug in service menu before to touch this setting?
Look at my research on micom eeprom. Perhaps we could make something similar on your`s? No big chance for success, but if this is eeprom problem, we could restore it.

Or if TV is under warranty, better call Service.

http://wiki.samygo.tv/index.php5/Ex-Lin ... BD_players

then is the next step if I've made the cable?

I understand a little about your posts in viewtopic.php?f=23&t=5042&start=80 # p38840 valute which is about how to change it?

as far as I know micom upgrade first clears the chip then flashes it.
it's meant to be used by samsung specialist and not kids who play "for fun".

Call service and hope they won't void your warranty (fortunately this doesn't happen frequently it never)

nobody probably right, if you trigered to flash micom`s firmware, then here is no other way found than to change mainboard (by you or Service).

For future - i marked config eeprom in case anyone needs to check it...

thanks for the response moderator juuso

There are a few questions for you :)
1.can i flash micom firmware via Exlink cable?
2.can i replace only eprom chip to fixed this problem?

1. No, you can`t. At least we don`t know how.
2. We don`t know if this fix your problem. micom eeprom is just chip where settings are stored. So far we know. What is micom firmware, where to get it from and how to flash it - we don`t know. What "MICOM update" actually does - unknown as well. if you have some I2C programmer, sure would be interesting to check what is on eeprom left -could be there is no data? cleaned? Or maybe config is untouched, but here is none who uses this...

No good news for you, isn`t? Micom is some dark territory. :(
