I found a service manual: http://elektrotanya.com/samsung_uexxes6 ... nload.html and noticed the panel codes where the same but not the SMPS between the 46 inch E series 6500 and 6100 model, would a model number switch still be possible?

I was able to do it by transmitting 3SPEED twice :D, it works perfectly. Any thoughts on attempting to go to a 7*** model? Im assuming its not possible due to the processor differences

Any success with noticeable improvements, when changing models code, please let us know what improved etc.
Then I'll update ES Wiki on the subject.

Thanks.

Not that I know of, it enables 3D automatically and also allows access to the Explore 3D app. 3D and PVR can be enabled through the service menu though without changing the model number. I assume the CMR would also increase after a firmware update, but I am unsure of a way to check this, if you could advise on a way for me to test it I'd be happy to do it :)

This is interesting, because if we can upgrade ES5700 to ES6100, then we could probably go even further (to ES6500) with your success...
Anyone who'd like to volunteer?
