D6500 Board swap

Hey all, i have a PN59D6500DFXZA, live in canada. Im looking to root the tv in attempt to fix certain things, DNIe ect., problem is i have the mstar CPU. Since im looking to get full, "unristricted" use i was thinking of doing a board swap to a ARM cpu.
anyone ever done this? should be rip out old board and put new one in as long as its from the same series?

cant return it, was a floor model, got $600 bucks off
