Blu-Ray - change region code for app store

Hi there,
A while ago, I bought a Samsung TV and used the remote keypress sequence: ff 289 rew to change the country app store of the ES series TV. It worked a treat.
Now, I am considering a Samsung Blu-Ray Player and was wondering if the same key sequence will work for the E-series ones to also change the country app store? Can anyone confirm this?
