Hello,

I wanna wake up my Server with Videos, Pictures and so on by using my Samsung PS50C7790 (PS50C7700).

I've hacked my TV and the Windows-Folders are mounted by a Script on my USB-Pen, which is always connected in my TV. This works fine.
But the Server is still running 24/7 and this is not really necessary. So I wanna put my Server into Suspend mode.

Is there a possibility to wake up my server with my TV. For Wake on Lan it is necessary to send an Magic Packet with the Mac-ID of my Server.
If it is possible what I got to do to realize this?

do you want to have the packet sent automatically at tv power up or manually via some kind of input to tv?

for first case: what about: this is a ready to use script in samygo extensions to send a magic packet...

oh, and if you plan to boot the servers OS instead of only waking it from standby there could be timing issues as booting takes at least 30sec, in this case i'd go for a master-slave-power-strip and use the slave side to operate the servers powerbutton

Well, I only wanna start the server if I start the Media-Section, if it is possible.

Do I have to write the line into the run.sh-Script on my USB-Pen?

You can wake on lan just only once - at start of TV.
