Hey guys,
i want to try and remove the Cinavia from my HT-E6750W system,
and i want to make sure i understand the basic steps for it.

As far i understand i need to do the following:
1. Install a custom firmware using the DNS trick.
2. Modify the exeDSP

Few questions:
1. in the exeDSP wiki page it says i should get the exeDSP file from the firmware.
and it says to get the firmware from Samsung support.
should the exeDSP file be the one from the latest official firmware? (B-FIRHT7MAC)
or should i get it somehow from the custom firmware im installing?

2. the make the C-Free patch i need to look for the following string in the exeDSP file

08 40 2D E9 04 00 50 E3 00 F1 9F 97 ?? ?? 00 EA ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? 06 00 A0 E3

looking at the latest official firmware (B-FIRHT7MAC), i found the following:

08 40 2D E9 04 00 50 E3 00 F1 9F 97 ?? ?? 00 EA ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? 06 00 A0 E3

and i also see a comment in the wiki about 00 in the 27th bit, should i patch both places or just the first?

3. If anyone have any experience with HT-E6750W please share so we can learn from it.

1. you should copy out exeDSP from your device. Use ftp for this.
2. hmm, this is strange. usually there is only one place to patch in the whole exeDSP. You could prepare two binaries and check one by one (with one place patched also with another place or with both....) and tell us
3. Yah, i just know all theoretically. Practice sometimes differs...

is it possible to patch the exeDSP without installing the custom firmware?
or i need ftp access in order to do that, and for that reason i need custom firmware?

yes, you need patched fw to get access to your device.

but if a patched firmware is available, why a patched DSPexe is not already included by Samygo developers ?
And another important question: I have a BD-D6900 BD Player, isntalled patched firmware, it is a pre-cinavia patched firmware, but is an old firmware also, so I discovered that some important App from Smarthub downgraded to older version: do you confirm this ?

Some patches are illegal (looking from samsung eyes), so we decided just to show how to do, but not provide patched binaries.

I got your point now ...

and what about my second technical question regarding Smarthub after a downgrade ? Can you confirm that downgrading firmware (even if patched firmware) the price to pay is to stuck with an old version ov Smarthub and/or earlier versions of some apps (i.e. Youtube, Facebook)

Hi GTK, I also have a 6750 and try to remove CINAVIA. looked at your thread, seems that at least you successfully installed the customed F/W. so you changed DNS and then your home theater started downloading automatically? which version it installed? version 1011 or 1099?

HT-E6750W will never remove the C ..............I have follow this forum for two years....
