Is there any way to patch Samsung firmware to enable Yahoo widgets for all countries?
(yes, I know that it can be enabled by changing country in TV settings)

Not always, my Latam UN40B7000 only shows Brazil and it includes Terra widgets, Picassa and YouTube, not yahoo widgets!!... sniff

have you tried to change your country in the settings (settings - PnP) to UK? after switching off your TV you should see Yahoo widgets.

Nop, doesn't work that either... In the wiselink country selection I only have Brazil (and I'm @ Argentina...

)
But I don't want to fill your post only with my latam issues

I (owning a central european version) tried to change the PnP settings to a country where normally another widget system is used than Yahoo (Russia, Poland). But the widget system does not change. There still remains Yahoo. Having a look into the file system, there aren't any files there to launch a different system.
When I change the "local set" to "ASIA DTV" in the service menu, an error message appears when pushing the Internet button on the remote control.

you should change Country, not language
